Science Fiction/Fantasy Authors

The science fiction genre uses science-based ideas to create imaginary plots and scenarios. It is not uncommon for sci-fi novels to feature technology and/or futuristic aspects, such as space travel. Common sub-genres include: space operas, dystopia, time travel, and both hard & soft sci-fi.

The fantasy genre uses elements not found in reality as the basis for the plot, characters, and/or the setting; common elements are magic, mythical creatures, and  heroic journeys. Common sub-genres include: urban fantasy, high fantasy, magical realism, fairy tales & fables, and dark fantasy.
