The Friends of the Hampshire County Public Library are members of the community who support, extend, and promote the services of the library. They assist the Library in undertaking special projects. For example, the Friends run book sales, silent auctions, maintain the gardens, run special days for children and teenagers, host events, and much more. Not only do the Friends help the Library, but their contributions make our community a better, more active place. The various activities the Friends host are also a great meeting ground for members of our community who share interests. If interested in joining the Friends group, please stop by the Library or email library@hamcopl.org.
Volunteers are always welcome and needed at the library. Volunteers can earn community service hours by helping out at the library as well as having the satisfaction of knowing that they have helped the community. Common tasks for volunteers are: putting away books, straightening shelves, helping with special events, and assisting with routine tasks. If you are interested in volunteering, please stop by the Library or email library@hamcopl.org.
