National Science Digital Library provides online resources for the science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) areas.

Points of View Reference Center is a database provided by the West Virginia Library Commission that has continuously updated information and opinions on current social issues. This resource also has the National High School Debate topics.*

Purdue Owl Writing Lab, created by Purdue University, contains resources for writing, creating citations, and formatting papers.

World Book Online contains reliable information for homework, reports, or general questions. Includes the classic encyclopedia, eBooks, and more:

  • World Book Encyclopedia – Reliable information for homework, reports, or general questions.
  • World Book Kids – For elementary users. Includes lesson plans, science activities, comparable animal and geography features, interactive maps, challenging games, and biographies.
  • World Book Student – Content for upper-elementary and middle-grade users. Includes resources where users can save, notate, and organize articles, biographies, and other content.
  • World Book Advanced – Specifically organized for high school and pre-college users. Contains all of the resources of World Book Student plus primary source materials.*

WV InfoDepot contains the Explora and NovelList databases, as well as environmental, health, business & legal databases.*
