June at HCPL

June kicks off our Summer Reading Program! The theme this year is Ocean of Possibilities. Stop by starting June 6th to get registered for our brand-new tracking program Zoobean, a mobile and web based application designed to facilitate reading challenges. You can even participate in challenges against other readers and the librarians here at HCPL! If online isn’t your style, we’ll have Badge Books for you to track your reading. They are a reading challenge, sticker book, calendar, and app companion. You’ll also register for our kick off pool party at the Romney Pool!

Every Saturday during the Summer Reading Program we will be doing fun games and crafts at HCPL. We will even have a few guest speakers to talk to us about our waterways in June and July.

Our June schedule is as follows:

June 11th – Pool party from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

June 18th – Treasure Chest and Oyster Shell craft

June 23rd – DNR presentation and Seashell painting  craft
